1. Who We Are
Glassy is a mobile application designed to help women track and reduce their alcohol consumption. We are committed to privacy-first design.

2. Data Stored on Your Device
The following data lives only on your device using Apple's secure on-device storage. It is never transmitted to our servers:
- Your name and onboarding preferences (goal type, weekly unit target)
- Drink log entries (type, units, date)
- Streak and achievement progress
- AI companion chat history
- Craving journal entries
If you delete the app, all of this data is permanently removed from your device.
3. Data Processed via Our Servers
Two features send data to our servers to use AI. This data is processed in real time and never stored or logged:
- Drink Scanner A photo of your drink is sent to OpenAI to identify the drink, units, and calories. The image is not retained after processing.
- AI Companion Your chat messages and anonymous context (current streak, weekly units — not your name) are sent to Anthropic Claude to generate a response. Messages are not stored on our servers.
- Voice Log An audio recording is sent to OpenAI Whisper for transcription. The audio is not retained after transcription.
4. Third-Party Services
RevenueCat & Apple In-App Purchase — Subscriptions are processed via Apple. RevenueCat receives an anonymised subscriber ID and purchase receipt to manage your entitlement. Your payment details are handled entirely by Apple and never pass through Glassy's servers. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
OpenAI — Drink photos and voice recordings are sent via our server to OpenAI's API. OpenAI does not train on API data by default. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
Anthropic — Companion chat messages are sent via our server to Anthropic's API. Anthropic does not train on API data by default. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
5. Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not require an account or email address
- We do not collect device identifiers or advertising IDs
- We do not use analytics or crash-tracking SDKs
- We do not share any data with advertisers
6. Your Rights
Because your personal data lives on your device, you can:
- Export your data — use the Export Data option in Profile → Settings
- Delete your data — use Delete My Data in Profile → Settings, or simply delete the app
- Manage subscription — manage or cancel via the App Store subscription settings at any time

7. Children's Privacy
Glassy is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the app, please contact us immediately.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the app. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
